Our Team

Conor Deering, Assistant Director and Retreat Facilitator

BA Theology and Psychology.

I have been working in Benildus Pastoral Centre for the past seven years. My main areas of interest are in the behaviour of young people in today’s world and I particularly  enjoy encouraging students to be open and creative in their self-expression in the area of faith.

Beth Cummins, Retreat Facilitator

B. Comm, H-Dip in Education, MA in Holistic Development for Pastoral Ministry.

I have had a particular interest in working with young people since my teenage years. Having taught for a number of years after qualification, I stepped out of the school scenario to concentrate more fully on my growing family – while continuing to be involved in pastoral work in my home parish in a voluntary capacity. In 2004, I returned to education, completing a Masters Degree in preparation for Pastoral Ministry. I joined the dynamic team in Benildus in 2007 and have been privileged to meet wonderful, caring students during my time here. I thoroughly enjoy working with this age group and find it very rewarding, life enriching and a constant source of inspiration.

Rachel Fagan,

Retreat Facilitator

Baccalaureate in Arts and Theology, MA in Creative Writing, Postgraduate Diploma in Education

I joined the team here at Benildus in September 2015. Having worked as a teacher of English and Religious Education for several years, I am deeply interested in the lives and faith experience of young people and in helping them to find a place in the world. I feel honoured to be part of this process through retreat facilitation.
